Every massage at Laying of Hands Massage Therapy is completely customized to your body's needs. Rather than asking you to choose a specific massage style, I combine the techniques that will provide the greatest benefit during your session. This may include Swedish massage, Deep Tissue, Prenatal or Postnatal massage, Acupressure, Circulatory massage, Aromatherapy, and (coming soon) Hot Salt Stone Therapy; all included at no additional cost.

You don't have to decide, that's my job. Before each session, we'll discuss how you're feeling, any areas of pain or tension, your health history, and your goals. From there, I'll create a massage that's tailored specifically to you. Your feedback and input are also always welcome and encouraged.

Your first visit includes a brief consultation where we'll discuss your health history, current concerns, and what you'd like to accomplish with massage therapy. Afterward, you'll have privacy to undress to your comfort level and get settled on the massage table. Throughout your session, you'll always be professionally draped, and only the area being worked on will be uncovered.

No. You should undress only to your level of comfort. Many clients fully undress while others prefer to leave underwear on. Either choice is perfectly acceptable. Professional draping is used at all times to ensure your comfort, privacy, and dignity.

Yes! Unlike many massage practices, there is no additional charge for deep tissue work. If your muscles need deeper pressure, that's simply part of your customized session.

Yes. Prenatal massage is available for most healthy pregnancies and is tailored to provide comfort, reduce muscle tension, improve circulation, and support overall well-being. If you have a high-risk pregnancy or medical concerns, please consult your healthcare provider before scheduling.

Therapeutic massage should never be unbearable. Some techniques, particularly deep tissue or trigger point work, may create temporary discomfort, but "no pain, no gain" is not the goal. The best results come from working within your body's tolerance.

Everyone is different. Some clients benefit from monthly maintenance, while others may schedule more frequent sessions to address chronic pain, injury recovery, stress management, or athletic performance. Together, we'll determine a schedule that supports your goals.

I value both your time and mine. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, as well as no-show appointments, will be charged 100% of the scheduled service to the card used to reserve the appointment. Thank you for understanding and helping me make appointment times available to other clients.

At this time, Laying of Hands Massage Therapy does not accept insurance or HSA/HRA payments. I plan to begin the process of accepting these payment options in 2027, so stay tuned for updates!

At Laying of Hands Massage Therapy, you're paying for my time, experience, and clinical expertise, not for individual techniques. Every session is customized using the modalities that will best benefit your body that day. Whether that includes deep tissue, Swedish massage, acupressure, prenatal massage, aromatherapy, or other therapeutic techniques, they're all included in the price of your session. My goal is to provide the treatment you need, not to charge extra for it.

Yes! No two bodies are exactly alike, and no two massages should be either. Each session is tailored to your individual needs and may include a combination of: Swedish Massage Deep Tissue Therapy Prenatal Massage Postnatal Massage Circulatory Massage Acupressure Aromatherapy Hot Salt Stone Therapy (coming soon) Every technique is included at no additional charge, allowing me to focus on what your body needs most, not what's listed on a menu.
